Get By 03:37
I wandered out to the shore line The dark breeze swept me in It’s calling my name Headed out for troubled water Don’t care about the mess I’m in I’ll be back again I get by For what it’s worth What that’s worth to me Words will never say I look down below the tree line It may be my last decent It’s calling my name Don’t know if I will make it A voice inside me says I will I’ll be back again I get by On the sunniest waves, on the stormiest days I get by I don’t know where that I’m going, I don’t know why that I came For what it’s worth What that’s worth to me words will never say

Once upon a time, long ago and somewhere far away Thoughts arose, lingering in my mind, time to go I set upon my journey from the east to west with no delay In the west finally where I belong, it’s the best Place for one to go Exploring parts unknown For a place that feels like home Coast to coast Somewhere in my mind I found the strength to up and walk away Heading forth, holey shoes and I got nothin’ to loose Memories in the east, and in my mind will always stay It’s a mess but ultimately I think it’s for the best We’ll make it on our own Coast to coast

A backpack and a bottle of beer I’m settin’ up for the trick of the year And I know That things are gonna go my way You better look out the coast is clear I’ve set aside all the things that I fear for now Cause fear will only lead me astray, hey hey I’m simply on a mission And I’m never gonna listen to ya No it’s not for me, yeah I’m simply on a mission And I’m never gonna listen to the False notion that the good things in life are free It’s no good to me, yeah Is it really gonna matter I look back at the places I love The people I’ve met And the things that I’ve done All trapped inside memories It all seems like it happened so fast In the blink of an eye Now it’s all in the past Sometimes I wonder what happened to me

Cease Fire 03:58
Cease fire, cease fire Put your guns down think about it Cease fire, cease fire Is that the way that you want to live Cease fire, cease fire Your’e gonna run us into the ground I know, you know, we know better No need to fret It hasn’t happened yet Think twice before you go You’re not alone In time you’ll find a home Don’t write yourself off yet Cease fire, cease fire Put your guard down think about it Cease fire, cease fire Is that the way that you want to live Cease fire, cease fire Enough of all this messing around I know, you know, we know better Before you go Something I need to know Would you call me your friend We’ll find a way To make some sense of it Before the good times end I’ll never ask you again As a friend The outcome not as I planned But instead We argue our separate views We both lose Just walk away before it’s too late It’s not too late Cease fire, cease fire Put your guns down think about it Cease fire, cease fire Is that the way that you want to live Cease fire, cease fire You’re gonna run us into the ground I know, you know, we know better I’ll never ask you again As a friend The outcome not as I planned But instead We argue our separate views We both lose Just walk away before it’s too late It’s not too late

about

The Rising Tide was born in Whistler at a fundraiser for Bands Against Hunger in early 2008. Although the boys are no longer together, The Rising Tide is remembered by this four song EP titled "Get By" which was recorded in Whistler. Jeremy's follow up album titled "Behind The Name" is a continuation of his soulful acoustic creations, which was released in May of 2010.
